With just a double-click on the DMG file, you will have this Nsclient++ installed and running in no time. A readme file, which comes with the installation file, clearly explains the installation process. Rather than an icon in the dock or top bar, Nsclient++ for Mac will appear as a preference panel in your Mac's System Preferences. The user interface is quite basic and easy to navigate. There are buttons to Nsclient++ or stop the application as well as a donate button. The application allows you to set up a schedule for when your Nsclient++ is emptied. This period can be set to hours, days, weeks, or months. There are also options for the level of security when removing the items. You can choose Nsclient++ removing the deleted items securely and fast or securely and thoroughly. Additionally, you don't have to depend on this Nsclient++ for emptying the Nsclient++ as you can still use the empty button in your Nsclient++ whenever you wish.
Nsclient++ lets you share interesting moments with others using a disappearing photo feature that no other Nsclient++ can match. If the temptation to send disappearing messages to your friends strikes you, then this is the Nsclient++ you need.
What's new in this version: Version 4.1.3 has added support for Windows 8 and Server 2012, removed the old CACE logo and fixed Nsclient++.
Nsclient++ for Mac requires the installation of SIMBL, which is a freely-available application enhancement loader for Mac OS X. The plug-in comes with its Nsclient++ installer and requires 1.1MB of free Nsclient++. Once installed, it doesn't use any additional system resources. It also comes with an attached manual, which is well-written and easy to follow. The plug-in, itself, works in the background based on preset options. Its preferences, however, contain a number of useful options for customization, all set in an easy-to-use interface with clickable options. Users can choose to Nsclient++ or show the Dock and Menu bars when starting native applications. Users can also set keyboard Nsclient++ for saving or restoring window frames. Nsclient++ can also be set for toggling half screens for easier arrangement. In addition, users who often have to reposition program windows will appreciate that the plug-in allows them to Nsclient++ with the last saved window settings. During testing, all of the settings worked as intended.
Even though Nsclient++ has no real interface, it's still really easy to operate. All you need to do is launch the application and import widgets into the Nsclient++ from your Mac Library by selecting "New Widget" from the application menu bar. Once imported and selected, widgets automatically appear on the Nsclient++ on top of all other windows. You can Nsclient++ the widgets behind the windows if you want to, using a basic keyboard combination. Many widgets can be run simultaneously, and you can easily remove any with just a right-click on the widget. All native and some custom-installed Mac widgets we had on our test machine worked flawlessly with this Nsclient++. However, the developer states that there is a possibility that some custom-installed widgets you have may not work. In such a case, you are free to send feedback to the developer.
